Thursday May 12th:
Today we got up and got ready so we could do a Costco run with Grandma before heading down to Levan for 2 weeks. After Costco, we picked up lunch at Cafe Rio. We took our food home to eat with Jim, and Grandma went to Lehi to get her hair cut and colored.
Jim came home and ate lunch with us then he headed back to work. The boys and I then made Jim some applesauce cookies and cinnamon chip bread for him to take to AT while we waited for Grandma to get done. The boys took their naps and I was even able to sneak a little one in, too!
Grandma got to our house around 5pm. We loaded up the rest of our junk and headed to Levan. The boys were so excited when we pulled up to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa immediately took them for a ride on the lawn mower aka "khaki" while I unloaded the car and made spaghetti for dinner. After dinner, we went for a ride in Grandpa's truck and then played outside when we got back.
I finally put Jake to bed around 10pm and he was more than ready. When I was rocking him, he spit his bottle out and told me "garbage". I asked him if he wanted me to throw his bottle away and he said "garbage" again. Then he said "na-night" so I laid Jake down and he went to bed. He was one tired little guy. Ryan, on the other hand, didn't get to bed until after 11pm!
Friday May 13th:
We didn't get our grocery shopping done yesterday so I told my mom I would go to the gym this morning in Spanish Fork and then I'd run to Macey's and get the groceries that we need for the week. I left Levan around 7:30am and Ryan was up when I left. I thought he'd sleep in a little bit since he got to bed so late but no.
Mom called me on my way home and had me stop at Wal-Mart to pick up a few items for my Granny J. Then I dropped them off at Granny J's house so I didn't get home until 11:30am. My mom and the boys were just getting ready to outside and play when I got home. I unloaded the car and put the groceries away then I went out to see what everyone was doing.
The rest of the day was pretty low-key. We played, had naps, made dinner, etc. At dinner, Ryan kept saying "I don't understand?" We have no idea what he was talking about, but it was cracking us up :) After dinner, we went for a ride in Grandpa's truck. The weather was so nice we decided to make a trip to the park and let the boys play. They had a great time!
We headed home after the park and got the boys ready for bed. We tried to get the boys to bed a little earlier than the last couple of days, but it was still after 9pm before we got them settled.
Saturday May 14th:
Ry slept with me last night because my mom left early to go to a surprise birthday party in St. George. We didn't get up until 9am! This is a huge deal because Ryan has been getting up at 6:30am lately. I think part of the reason he was able to sleep in is my room is darker than my mom's and his room at home, OR he was super tired. Either way, I'm glad we were all able to get some extra shut eye even if it put us a little behind for the rest of the day :)
It rained for the bulk of the day so to give Ry something to do, I made a recipe of salt dough and colored it for Ry to play with. He thought it way cool and had a blast rolling it out and cutting it with Grandma's cookie cutters.
Grandma got home close to 7pm just as we were finishing up dinner. Grandma and Grandpa had to run to 2 weddings that were being held in Levan. The rain had let up for a minute and the sun was shining so the boys and I went outside to play for a minute, but it was still super cold. We were just heading inside to get our coats and shoes on when Grandma and Grandpa came home so we went for a ride in the truck instead.
The rest of the night was business as usual. The boys got to bed at their new "normal" time of 9:30pm, haha.

38 & 22 Months
Ryan at 38 months:
- will always say "Sorry Mama!" before I've seen the mess he's made. Then after I've seen it he'll say, "I didn't mean to. Sorry mama!" How can you get mad when he says such cute things like that :)
- still uses the word "to" when he means "the". For example, he just told me was "scared of to lawn mower." Funny kid.
- has always been a really good talker, but he is a little mimic these days. He says things like, "Here-a-go mama!", "what doin mama", "whas that?"
- has learned how to say, "Had it first! HAD IT FIRST!" when he and Ryan are fighting over a toy.
- decided he didn't like jumping out of his crib--he just stopped doing it. Good boy :)
