Max & Katie Come to Play

Charlie had to work today and needed a babysitter for a couple of hours.  My mom came up and helped me watch Max and Katie while Charlie was out.

Luckily it was nice enough the boys could go outside.  They had a great time playing in the sand and running around outside.

Katie had to stay inside with Grandma :)  It was a bit too chilly for her outside.  She eventually went down for a nap.

It was a nice change of pace for my boys to get to play with Max.  Hopefully they can play again soon.

My Toe

On 3/17/2011, I dropped an 8 lb. hand weight on my toe.  It HURT!

I took my toe nail polish off to day to find this beauty.  It still hurts, too.
FYI--I know my toes and toe nails are ugly.

Weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's

It's our last day at Grandma & Grandpa's.  We went to church this morning then came home and had lunch.

After lunch, we played with the Eyre's and hung out.

We built a fort for the boys to play in.
The boys got hair cuts.  Yes, that is a tear on Jake's cheek.  He is a stinker when it comes to hair cuts, ugh.

Ryan, on the other hand, sits so still and is so good when he gets a hair cut.

Dallin ready for his hair cut.  He used to HATE to get his hair cut, but now he sits there like a champ.

After hair cuts, we went outside for a popsicle.

Then the kids played on the rock.  Dallin looks so cute!

The flowers are making an appearance, yay!  Spring is on its way!!

We swang in the swings and jumped on the trampoline.  We pretty much did all we could do at Grandma and Grandpa's house today.

Dal doing a roll over.

Ryan thought he'd give it a try.

He was successful!

Maddie doing a jump.  Look at those crazy legs :)

Jake's mad he can't swing in the baby swing, LOL.  The yellow baby swing is quite popular among the little boys.

We finished off the afternoon with an ice cream cone.  Yum!

Photos by Emilie

I went to a photography class today.  Jim has drill this weekend so the boys and I came down to stay in Levan while he is gone.  My mom was so kind to watch my boys for me so I could go to the class.

The Photo By Emilie class started at 9am so I had to leave Levan around 7am, just to give me ample time to get to the downtown area.  Mt Nebo looked amazing this morning.  This picture doesn't do it justice--that's it, I need some new glass for my camera :)

I found where we were having the class super easy so I was a few minutes early, which was fine.  I was able to go inside and meet Emilie, get some breakfast, and find a spot for the class.

Emilie had gave us all a book with everything we would be talking about in class.  It was so nice not to have to worry about writing everything down because she had all of the information in the book for us.  While we ate our breakfast, we went through the book.

After about 1 1/2 hours of class time, we went outside to shoot some pictures.  Emilie had some "models" for us to practice with.
Shooting with my 60 mm, 2.8/f lens.  Jim got me this lens for my birthday in 2009 and I've used it once until now.
More practicing on the cute models.  Seriously, this little girl was so easy to get cute pictures of.

I didn't get very many pictures of the baby.  In fact, she was taking a dump in this picture and it was the best shot I got, LOL.

After we took pictures outside, we went back to the classroom where had lunch.  We took a little break to eat and then we got back to learning.

I learned a lot at the photography workshop.  It was so fun!  I love learning new stuff about how to use my camera.  The problem is, it just makes me want to upgrade what I have, ha ha.

I ran a couple of errands after the class and then I headed back to Levan.

My boys were just having a snack when I got home.  SO, I had to practice what I just learned on them :)
And a practice shot on my dad :)

I'm glad I was able to go to the Photos by Emilie workshop. A big thanks to my parents for watching my boys for me while I went.

Fort @ Grandma's House

We came down to Levan to stay the weekend while Jim is at drill.  After dinner, Grandma made this awesome "fort" for the boys to play in or under I should say :)

The boys had a blast playing in the "fort" and were mad when it was time to get ready for bed.

A Trip to Carl's with Max & Katie

Charlie had a job interview in Provo today so my parents came up to watch his kiddos while he was in the interview.  After he was done, they called to see what my boys and I were doing and if we wanted to do lunch.  I told them we would drive up to Provo, but my dad suggested going to Carls Jr. in Spanish Fork.  That worked for me :)

My boys were more than happy to go to lunch at Carls Jr., and they were super excited to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Max!  Jake was fascinated with baby Katie.  I was holding Katie and he had to get up on my lap, too.  I think he was a bit jealous :)
Jake was wiggling like crazy.  It was hard to keep a hold of Katie, but I managed.
Love my face in this picture--poor Katie was starting to cry.  I think she was getting tired.

It was a monumental day for Max--I guess he's never dared go up in the play area at Carl's Jr. or McDonald's.  Since Ryan was going up and all around, Max finally worked up the courage to follow and had a ton of fun!  I love how his nose is pressed up against the glass :)

Max thought he was pretty cool in the truck :)

They had tons of fun playing together!  Cant you tell by Ryan's face :)
We stayed and played at Carl's for about an hour or so.  Then, Chuck, Max, and my parents came back to the house to play and visit for awhile.  Everyone left around 4:30pm or so.  Jim came home shortly after.  We decided to grill chicken for dinner on our new grill.
Jim so happy to pose for a picture with our new grill :)

We didn't have any plans for today (except the usual cleaning) so it was fun to do something out of the norm and see people we don't see everyday.
