I went to a photography class today. Jim has drill this weekend so the boys and I came down to stay in Levan while he is gone. My mom was so kind to watch my boys for me so I could go to the class.
The Photo By Emilie class started at 9am so I had to leave Levan around 7am, just to give me ample time to get to the downtown area. Mt Nebo looked amazing this morning. This picture doesn't do it justice--that's it, I need some new glass for my camera :)

I found where we were having the class super easy so I was a few minutes early, which was fine. I was able to go inside and meet Emilie, get some breakfast, and find a spot for the class.
Emilie had gave us all a book with everything we would be talking about in class. It was so nice not to have to worry about writing everything down because she had all of the information in the book for us. While we ate our breakfast, we went through the book.
After about 1 1/2 hours of class time, we went outside to shoot some pictures. Emilie had some "models" for us to practice with.

Shooting with my 60 mm, 2.8/f lens. Jim got me this lens for my birthday in 2009 and I've used it once until now.

More practicing on the cute models. Seriously, this little girl was so easy to get cute pictures of.

I didn't get very many pictures of the baby. In fact, she was taking a dump in this picture and it was the best shot I got, LOL.
After we took pictures outside, we went back to the classroom where had lunch. We took a little break to eat and then we got back to learning.
I learned a lot at the photography workshop. It was so fun! I love learning new stuff about how to use my camera. The problem is, it just makes me want to upgrade what I have, ha ha.
I ran a couple of errands after the class and then I headed back to Levan.
My boys were just having a snack when I got home. SO, I had to practice what I just learned on them :)

And a practice shot on my dad :)
I'm glad I was able to go to the Photos by Emilie workshop. A big thanks to my parents for watching my boys for me while I went.
