Hapari

I met Kristy and Annie in American Fork at the Hapari Swimwear store today.  I've been wanting to try their swimming suits again--I tried them last year, but I was pregnant with Jake and the suit didn't work for me.  And Kristy is going on a cruise and needed a swimming suit.

I'm not a big fan of swimming suits; I like swimming and boating, but dislike the swimming suit part :)  I need a suit that goes down to my knees to cover up my legs, haha.  I did find a suit I liked though and purchased it.  SO, I can officially go swimming now.

After we finished up at the Hapari store, we ran to Downeast, Target, and Smart Cookie.  Oh my, I love Smart Cookie.  Thank goodness they are far away from me...

Love these girls!!

Thanks for the fun night chicas!!

Jake's First Sunburn :(

Can you believe I let this little mug get sunburned??  Well, I did and I feel TERRIBLE about it :(  After being outside nearly all day on Sunday, Jake's poor face got terribly sunburned.  My arms also got burned pretty good.  Ryan and Jim got a little sun but nothing like Jake and I got.

I should've known better.  Hell, we don't have beautiful skin that browns nicely in the sun.  We have light white skin the gets RED in the sun.  It was so nice outside but I just did not think to put sun screen on us.  I will definitely be prepared for next time!
Another pic of his cute sunburned mug.
And one more view :(

Nice Weather

It was a fabulous day outside today so we decided to take Ryan and Jake on a walk in the wagon. Ryan of course had to pull the wagon. I could tell he was getting tired--that wagon is seriously heavy and hard to pull--but he would not let anyone else pull the wagon.

He had to wear a hat when we left the house because Jim was wearing a hat.  I think he could barely see :)
Jake in the wagon
I think Jake was a little tired when we first got to the park.  And the swings didn't help with his sleepiness.
Ryan loved the swings and loved to swing HIGH.
Jake woke up a bit and decided the swings were pretty fun.
This play ground is awesome.  It's the perfect size for Ryan.  He can get up on the equipment all by himself, and he could go down the slide by himself, too.
Jake had fun checking out the grass.
Jake decided he needed to check out the bark, too.
He tried to eat the bark a few times.  YUCK!
Ryan figured out he could climb up the slide, too.
Jim and Jake hanging out.
We put Jake in the swing again.  He thought they were alot funner the second time around.
I think it would tickle his tummy when he'd swing forward though :)
Jake was so tuckered out he fell asleep in the wagon on the way home.
Ryan had to pull the wagon all the way home, too.  Of course, I had to help by leaning over and pushing the wagon the entire way home.  My neck and back were a little sore by the time we made it home.
The neighbor kids were outside when we got home so we stayed outside and played with them.  We had a fun filled day outside.  It was so nice to be able to get outside in the sunshine.

Birthday Dinner at Applebee's

Today we met up at Applebee's in Orem with my mom, dad, and all of my siblings and their spouses (less Paula and Casey) to celebrate my mom and dad's birthdays.  We decided to go out with no kids and enjoy our dinner :)

We asked Guin if she would be able to come up and watch our boys so we could go out.  She was so kind to drive all the way from Oak City to babysit for us.  Thanks Guin!!

Grandma Guin holding Jake.  This is the only picture I got with Grandma Guin today.  She also brought up the Clark kids to help her babysit and I didn't get any pictures of them either :(

Ryan had boat loads of fun playing with his cousins and Grandma.  He was so wound up when he got home.  Jake even had a good time playing.

Both Amy and Jim's meals came after every one else was pretty much done eating.  So, to compensate the waiter brought out these baby tiny sundaes.  Jim didn't want it so Scott ate it :)

After we were finished eating, we took a pic of the kids with my mom and dad. It was a bit windy outside :)
One more picture of Jim and me
We've been giving Ryan breathing treatments the last couple of days.  He's been wheezing a bit.  Thank goodness we have some of the medication left over from our last ER visit and my mom let us take her nebulizer home.

We gave Ryan a treatment before putting him to bed.  He was so tired from playing hard with his cousins that he fell asleep while having the treatement.  I think the hum of the machine helped put him to sleep, too.  I thought this pic was pretty cute so I had to post it.

We had tons of fun going out to dinner.  It was so nice to go out and not have to worry about kids.  Thanks again Grandma Guin for coming up :)

Happy Birthday Mom & Dad--We LOVE you!!

FRG Dinner @ Outback Steakhouse

Jim and Richard finished pulling out the fence today.  Jim even let Ryan come out and help.  It was significantly colder today but Ryan insisted on going out and stayed out the whole time.

I made some homemade hot dog buns (same recipe as the hamburger buns, you just shape the dough differetnly) and we grilled some brats and hot dogs for lunch.

Ryan was so tired from helping outside this morning.   He took a good long nap on the couch.
Rich was a little tired, too :)

That evening, Lacy and I went to the Family Readiness Group dinner at Outback Steakhouse.  First, we ran to the mall and ran a couple of errands.  It was really good to get out and do something different.  Lacy and I always have a good time.

Outback was great, but the food is always tasty at Outback. There was some Army promotion going on, too so they gave the group three free bloomin onions.  I haven't been to an FRG dinner since before Jake was born so I had fun chatting and getting to know some of the new ladies in the FRG.  I'm so mad though--I didn't get any pictures and I even took my camera in with me.

Our waitress was super slow in getting us our checks and I needed to run to Old Navy to do an exchange and still be home by 8:15pm to put Jake to bed.  It was already 7:45pm but Lacy and I hurried and ran in Old Navy anyway.  I was so close to Old Navy so I thought I might as well do what I needed to do.  Jim texted me while were in the store and said Jake was getting tired.  By the time we got done at Old Navy and I dropped Lacy off, Jim had already put Jake to bed.  I guess I should have stayed out longer :)
